The Orchestre de Paris and its Music Director Klaus Mäkelä confirm their international, social and educational ambition with the Orchestre de Paris Academy. Aimed at all young top-level instrumentalists at the end of their final studies, it offers an opportunity to perfect orchestral technique by means of an accompagnied professional experience.

The Summer Academy
End August 2026
For a week at the end of the summer, the Academy plays and performs a programme of symphonic repertoire side by side with the musicians of the Orchestre de Paris culminating in a concert at Philharmonie de Paris.
This programme includes not only tutti and desk sectional sessions, but also individual coaching on the Orchestra audition repertoire. Academy members are supervised by the solists and desk members of the Orchestre de Paris.
Accomodation and meals are provided.
Travel aid is available on request.

The Studio Academy
January to May 2027 included
The Studio Academy offers up to 5 months of professionnal experience in the Orchestre de Paris for 5 laureates ; 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 violincello and 1 double bass who have also also participated in the Summer Academy.
The Studio Academy members benefit from personalized accompaniment by the soloists and desk members of the Orchestre de Paris. They have the opportunity to perform at the Philharmonie de Paris under some of the world’s top conductors, including Klaus Mäkelä. In addition to orchestral concerts, they participate in an international tour and chamber music concerts.
Audition technique and training is offered and the academy members also participate in the orchestra’s outreach activities.
Academy members receive a monthy allowance.

WIND, TIMPANI AND PERCUSSIONS : Selection via application form and videos only.
STRINGS : Pre-selection via application form and videos, followed by auditions at the Philharmonie de Paris.
Travel and hotel aid may be requested.
The Academy Studio members are selected during audition.
